Okaly Dokaly Neighborinos, here we go. Hurston set the plot up in the form of Janie telling a story in order to let the reader completely know Janie while still seeing form other characters' points of view as well. The reader can see what points of her life she considers significant. Hurston does this to emphasize the importance of judgment in the novel, and because it is necessary to have a complete understanding of Janie and all of her thoughts.
This is a really well done thesis Isabel!
ReplyDeleteI think in the second sentence you meant from instead of form. Is Janie really telling the story or is the story following her throughout the book?
The first sentence is long and kind of wordy so I would make that more concise or split it up into two sentences. I would also explain a little more on why it is necessary to have a complete understanding of Janie and all of her thoughts. I think you have a really good idea here! Good job!
ReplyDeleteHi Isabel!
ReplyDeleteI think the concept of this thesis is quite good. I would work on the wording a little to make it more succinct and clear. It's virtually perfect on a conceptual basis, though! Well done.
